I encourage people who hide behind their avatars to practice the golden rule beyond the typical means we perceive it. We are journeying into the unknown of Virtual Reality and there we experience storms of conflict that are surely alien to our existence in the Actual Reality AKA (Real Life). I'm sure we've all been in a position were we joined a conference late (RL or SL) and due to circumstances out of our control we might tend to annoy the crap out of people we'd otherwise dread to do so. Nevertheless, this happens and when everyone experiences the 'odd man out' and everyone jumps on the bandwagon to profess their dislike or discomfort for the 'odd man out' is taking part in a rather simple and elementary game of Henpecking. I learned this in first grade. You only need one person to notify the offender of their actions. In this case, however, everyone who blasted you with non-helpful comments about your unfortunate situation, were of a hive mind of verbal delinquency that I can only equate to an instance of 'henpeckery' that occurred in an elementary grade. I would ask that in the future, at these conferences, someone work on damage control to avoid such situations where an entire body of people are versus one unfortunate mild connector. Please, in the future, don't henpeck your fellow avatar.
